South Africa’s net gold and foreign exchange reserves fell to US$ 41.923bn in February from US$ 42.145bn in January, data from the Reserve Bank showed on Friday.
Gross reserves were also down slightly at US$ 47.19bn from US$ 47.611bn, while the forward position, which represents the central bank’s unsettled or swap transactions, rose to US$ 2.771bn from US$ 2.632bn.
