Internationalisation of Angolan Kwanza began

The Portuguese BIC bank took the first steps towards the internationalisation and convertibility process of the Angolan currency, by commencing last Friday the sale of the Angolan Kwanza (AKz) in its branches throughout Portugal. According to a press note from the mentioned institution, which has reached ANGOP, it is the first time outside Angola that a commercial private bank trades kwanza bills, adding that this initiative constitutes a strong investment of BIC bank.

Working in close partnership with BIC-Angola, the International Bank of Commerce (BIC) positions itself a s a platform of contact, knowledge and financial relationship with the Angolan market, also with the intent to strengthen the banking relations between both countries.
