Visa for Journalist

General

International Journalists by nature, require to visit a variety of countries in short succession, thus the applicable visa needs to accompany the short notice and can therefore be applied for locally at VfS.

The applicable visa type depends on the intended length of the stay and will be granted in form of either a Visitor Visa with Allowance to Work (link) for up to 90 days or as long-term Visitor Visa for a period up to three years.

Requirements

The general requirements for Visitor Visa apply and supporting documentation for the assignment or the letter of an inviting news agency need to be provided when submitting the application, either in South Africa or to the South African Embassy, Consulate or High Commission abroad.
